La Casa De Esthersy (“The House of Esthersy”) is a charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families living in the Dominican Republic.
As a U.S. section 501(c)(3) organization, charitable contributions to La Casa De Esthersy are tax-deductible as defined by the IRS.
Nearly one-third of the Dominican Republic population – over 3,000,000 people – lives below the poverty line. Close to 700,000 people live in extreme poverty. (1)
Recognizing these harsh statistics, and guided by core principles of generosity, empathy, compassion and love for all, we work to fulfill our mission by serving:
School-age children. La Casa De Esthersy provides essential school supplies for children whose families cannot afford them, enabling these children to fully participate in school and achieve their education.
House-bound senior citizens, who cannot leave their home because they are physically disabled or suffer from terminal illnesses. Many of these seniors live alone. La Casa De Esthersy helps seniors by covering the expenses for doctor’s house calls, home medical equipment, over-the-counter medicines and other consumables that are essential for improving the quality of life for elderly residents.
